ShapeGrabber and Nikon Instruments Inc. Announce Distribution Agreement
April 8, 2008 - OTTAWA, Canada: ShapeGrabber and Nikon Instruments Inc. today announced an agreement where Nikon will serve as a sales distribution channel in the United States for ShapeGrabber’s Ai310 and Ai810 3D laser scanner inspection systems. This arrangement will increase ShapeGrabber’s current distribution through Nikon Instrument’s extensive network, while enabling Nikon to provide customers with additional non-contact solutions to meet their customers’ industrial inspection and metrology needs.
The ShapeGrabber inspection system uses an innovative laser based line scanning technology that allows the inspector to rapidly generate a complete 3-Dimensional virtual model of a part so that critical inspection and measurements can then be easily made.
