ShapeGrabber Releases New Version of SG Central Software

August 23, 2005, Ottawa: ShapeGrabber, an Ottawa based firm that designs, manufactures and markets automated inspection systems for industrial markets today announced that the company has released a new version of its flagship software product - SGCentral.

SG Central is the software that is at the heart of each ShapeGrabber automated inspection system. The software enables part-to-part, part-to-CAD and part-over- time inspections. The ShapeGrabber system automatically scans and rotates the part so there is no need for manual merging of point-cloud data. The system also automatically generates an accurate point cloud consisting of millions of 3 dimensional data points.

"This new version of SGCentral software, takes the value proposition of our inspection products to a new level. New features enhancing ease-of-use were introduced, as well as new data types. The results are impressing customers", said Pierre Aubrey, ShapeGrabber's Executive Vice President.
