ShapeGrabber Releases Ultra-High Resolution Scan Head for Automated Laser Scanning of Small Parts
September 20, 2006, Ottawa: ShapeGrabber, an Ottawa based firm that designs, manufactures and markets automated inspection systems for industrial markets today announced that the company has released a laser scan head for automated laser scanning of parts smaller than 2.5 inches.
The new SG42 ultra-high resolution scan head can be used with all of ShapeGrabber's scanners, including the Ai300 and the Ai810.
"Our customers had been asking for this type of scanning heads so they could apply them to various small manufactured parts. The SG42 can reach resolutions of a few microns. We are already seeing a strong demand for the product", said Pierre Aubrey, ShapeGrabber's Executive Vice President.
