ShapeGrabber Releases Version 3.1 Of SGCentralTM Software

Upgrade Improves User-Friendliness and Simplifies Operation

Ottawa, Ontario - October 21, 2002 - Pierre Aubrey, Executive Vice President of ShapeGrabber Incorporated announced today that the Company has released Version 3.1 of its SGCentralä Software.

"Our principle objective was to make the operation of SGCentralä more intuitive and user friendly. The improvements incorporated into V3.1 of SGCentralä fall into four categories: compatibility, installation, calibration, and system interface," said Mr. Aubrey.

The main improvements incorporated into Version 3.1 of SGCentralä include:

Compatibility with Windows XP (while still supporting Windows 98 and 2000).
The ability to select different calibration plates.
User-friendly input of scanning parameters for automated inspection applications.
Simplified access to the configurator, which controls scanning variables.
Increased indexed scanning flexibility

Many other improvements also make for a better product from the User's perspective.
