At the bi-annual Quality Show in Chicago this Fall, I noticed a distinct shift in the market: clearly, this year was THE year of 3D scanning. Most of the major players in our industry were there, and there is a greater awareness and acceptance by attendees that 3D scanning is a valuable inspection tool and not only a modeling and reverse-engineering tool.

Like most metrology equipment, temperature variation can have an impact on the accuracy of the measuring device. That's why we recommend using the system in a temperature-controlled environment for optimal results.
